Job Futures Report for a software engineer.
Here are the requirements for writing the Job Futures Report (worth 15% of your grade): Your goal for this essay is to explain the current job prospects after graduating with a degree in a specific field. In other words, you will do research to examine the future potential of the field you have chosen to enter. To do this, identify the benefits and drawbacks to joining the field, report on what type of jobs the field has to offer, and find out whether or not there are many jobs available in the field and why. Feel free to use examples of real, current job openings (like the one you found for your Cover Letter and Resume assignment). Format: -This essay must be written in APA format, with a Title Page, Abstract, Body, and References. -The essay must be 3-4 pages long, typed in Times New Roman font, and double-spaced. The Title Page, Abstract, and References do not count toward the 3-4 page requirement. -The essay must include an introduction paragraph outlining the main points you will cover, body paragraphs explaining your main points and supporting them with research, and a conclusion paragraph offering readers a final analysis of the future potential of the field. Sources: -This essay requires at least 3 researched sources, such as books, newspapers, magazines, journals, government documents, or expert interviews. -Only academic-type sources will be accepted — print sources, sources from the library online, or credible online sources ending in “.edu,” “.gov,” or “.org.” The use of Wikipedia or general websites ending in “.com” will not be accepted; online newspapers can, however, end in “.com.” -As noted above, you can use job advertisements as examples; these may also end in “.com.” Ads are, however, extra sources, and do not count toward the 3 source requirement.
