Signature Assignment
Public Administration essays explore issues, ideas, artifacts, and events for the purpose of formulating an opinion or conclusion. Papers should describe relevant details from the course content, reflect personal experiences and feelings, and connect the issues with biblical insights from Scripture. Each essay should provide an explanation of the presenting issues, select and use information to investigate a point of view, connect relevant experience to academic knowledge, and offer conclusions and implications. In the Signature Assignment, learners develop a leadership plan centered on a new police chief taking the reins of a department. As the chief, report to the City Council on the changes that you have made to the department since taking over. This report should include the increase in manpower and reasons for the addition (for example, an increase in crime). You will also explain any equal employment opportunity initiatives that you are initiating based on federal law. The report should also include your plans to work collaboratively with community, state, and federal agencies.
