Once you have established a case study of sorts for the investigator, turn to the investigation, keeping in mind that the personality of the investigator shapes the subsequent investigation. What type of research is conducted? Is the search systematic or accidental? How does the investigator even come to know there is something to be investigated? What sources are discovered? How are these sources analyzed? What kinds of difficulties does the investigator encounter, whether with finding sources or analyzing them?
