Write a paper on one (and only one) of the following scientific discoveries from the Golden Age of Islamic science. -Al-Jazari’s elephant clock -Ibn al-Haytham’s theory of vision (and the camera obscura) -One of Al-Zahrawi’s surgical instruments -The automata of the Banu Musa brothers -Al-Idrisi’s world map -Ibn Firnas’s flying contraption What was the discovery (explain how it worked clearly and in detail)? How and when did it come about? What made the discovery possible at this time in history? What were its scientific and social implications? How did it change the way people thought about the world?
