1- Watch the news on TV or read/view news online from the BBC, Reuters, or the Associated Press. Avoid hyper-partisan sites! 2- Then pick a topic related to American government with some level of controversy such as immigration, gun control, foreign policy, court cases, etc. 3- Then find differing media sources that discuss the same topic such as CNN, MSNBC and Fox News. Keep in mind the broadcast news (NBC, ABC, CBS) will all be generally similar – more variation is found on cable news, for example. 4- Compare and contrast what the different media outlets say about the topic and then decide which one of them you feel has covered the topic in line with your beliefs. Note: You need a a minimum of three different sources with opposing viewpoints. Be sure to cite your sources using Chicago style with the full URL, not merely “cnn.com” for example. use this 2 links one is for BBC and the other is for CNN https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-48643313 https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/14/middleeast/iran-gulf-of-oman-attacks-analysis-robertson-intl/index.html
