Spiritual Formation Journal Selection
The first step is to read the book and keep a journal about your reading. Your journal should contain a minimum of four entries. Please include a date for each entry. (It’s fine to include additional entries if you want.) Use the table of contents to divide the book into three roughly-even portions. Each portion will provide the basis for one journal entry. For each portion, write an approximately 300-word journal entry reflecting on what you have read. The final entry should be a summary reflection. The summary should reflect on your experience with the book as a whole, but also try to explain (in your own words) why the subject of “spiritual formation” might be important for someone at your present stage in life.
