In writing the Capstone Paper, you need to think systematically and execute the following tasks: (i) identify a public or a non-profit program or a policy that has a problem (ii) use a planned approach in seeking information (iii) collect and analyze information (iv) report your findings, if using secondary data. In this paper, try to integrate your knowledge gained from the MPA program with the practical skills developed and apply it towards explanation of findngs. In the conclusion section, make recommendations that are both practical and politically feasible to address the problem. Also, discuss the deficiencies of your research work and what questions need to be answered or investigated by researchers in the future. In all written products, use proper grammar and correct style. In writing the capstone paper, consult the APA Manual Style (check required textbook) and follow its citation order and other instructions as required for papers. List the citations in the References section at the end of the paper. The capstone paper should be at least 15 pages (excluding title page, table of contents, and appendices), double spaced, and typed using Times New Roman font (size 12 points). Maintain a 1inch default margins. Longer papers are acceptable but shorter papers are not and will be subject to grade penalty. Please note that the instructor will check your written report for originality or plagiarism. It is a Safe Assignment and you must check your Originality Score. If the score is high, review the sections that need to be rewritten in own words and cited and then resubmit. The Capstone Paper must include the following components.
