Inter-professional collaboration; spiritually and culturally appropriate health interventions Course Objective:  Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and patients to provide spiritually and culturally appropriate health promotion and disease and injury prevention interventions. The Affordable Care Act is in effect at the current time.  Take some time and reflect about the Affordable Care Act from its inception to this moment in time.  Consider all recent rulings from the US Supreme Court through the 2019 term and recent relevant political actions and laws including tax law passed in Dec 2017. 1. What are your thoughts, ideas, and beliefs pertaining to the notion of “Health for All Americans”? Have any of the provisions affected you or your family already and how?  Put aside your political beliefs when answering this question.  The provision for states to expand Medicaid coverage to more Americans was held to be voluntary.  Florida among other states has stated they will not expand their Medicaid program to cover more uninsured.  2. How will the community health and public health community mobilize to provide more access to care in SWFL? 3. Research and find a local initiative in your community that increases access to the underserved populations in SWFL. 4. What specific services do they offer and how do you assist underserved or uninsured gain access. If you are living outside SWFL, answer this for your locality.  Sharing the resources elsewhere expands the knowledge of your peers.   5.
