To what extent is Ron’s life like the “religious action” that Wach categorizes as rituals and morals? Does the story of Ron give evidence that would support the idea that Ron is religious according to Wach’s understanding? How is Ron’s religious life different from what Wach describes as religious action? How does Ron’s life fit in McGuire’s category of lived religions? Would it fit also in Bender’s or Orsi’s understanding of lived religions? Why or why not?. 4. “Studying lived religions can be a practice of lived religions.” Argue for this idea or against it. Identify and define the concepts of lived religions that you use to make the argument. Use ideas from Orsi, McGuire, or Bender for the concepts.
