Weather Analysis
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed: 1. Using the climograph, derive the average annual temperature and precipitation means for the region. Discuss the seasonal variations in both parameters. Detail the results relative to polar front theory. 2. Using your knowledge of the atmosphere and the information present in the climograph, discuss the most prevalent types of storms that affect this area, by season. 3. Using the historical weather data, identify the maximum precipitation event in the record and detail what type of storm produced the event. 4. Calculate a simple recurrence interval of extreme precipitation events and place that calculation into the context of the proposed development. 5. Discuss how the seasonal and extreme precipitation events would impact stream discharge and the surrounding landscape. How could these events impact the proposed development?
