Description Main Task Using the outline and annotated bibliography you developed in Week 10, the Signature Assignment requires you to articulate the following information. Please consider using the headings that are in bold to structure your paper. Model Description The context of the model. Include key theorists, model formation, connection to systems theory and model assumptions (including description of how change occurs) The role of the therapist in facilitating change Legal and ethical considerations unique to the model With what clients or presenting problems does the model work/not work? Research Support Find two to three articles that demonstrate this model’s effectiveness. The article can either be specifically about testing the model or it can be a study that used concepts from the model to treat a specific presenting problem. Model Fit Strengths you have that will fit well with this model Areas of improvement that you have identified that will make this model a better fit for you- include ways that you will watch for bias and potential misuse of power. Feel free to revisit the presentation that you constructed in week three. Recovery Model and (insert model here) Articulate the principles or concepts from the mental health recovery model that fit with your personal model. Model Application Create a brief case example. You can base your family system on a move that you have seen, a family you know, your own family, or on your imagination. Describe the family system, including important information about their context (this will include aspects of their culture, belief systems, etc.) and presenting problem(s). This section will be written up in a paragraph (around 400 words). Include assessment strategies related to the model. Describe treatment plan based on the model- make this plan specific to the family system you described above. Postmodern Models: Solution-focused (de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg) Support your assignment with at least three scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including seminal articles, may be included. Length: 10-12 pages, not including title and references pages Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.
