Educational Flyer

The lesson 2 assignment involves creating an education flyer. See the directions here. The flyer will be made in Microsoft Word. As noted below, Word contains various templates to facilitate your creation of the flyer. For this assignment workshop, please experiment and become familiar with inserting images/graphics, text, and so on. You are certainly also free to create your flyer without a template. If you get stuck, remember that you can click the help menu at any time. Clicking the ? opens the help menu. What is a human right? Read through this site. When you research your chosen human rights issue, be sure to use credible sources. When you look for resources or information to help with your courses, how do you go about this process? Do you just Google something? How then do you choose what sources are credible or not? An excellent way to evaluate a source is by using the CRAAP Test. Each source should be timely, relevant, from an expert author or organization, be free from typos and bias, and so on. You must cite all images and all information sources. Educational Flyer Assignment The Awakening, in large part, is about women’s changing roles in society. In a broad view, we can see that the novel is about human rights. For this assignment, you will create an educational flyer on a human rights issue. You are free to choose a human rights issue that interests you. Gun rights pro/con or abortion pro/con though cannot be used. The flyer will be created in Microsoft Word. The first page of your Word document will be the flyer; the flyer is to be one page in length only. The second page of your Word document will contain your MLA formatted works cited page including your researched information and image sources. While you will include researched support, the majority (80%) of the flyer’s text content must be in your own original words. The flyer must include: At least one data graph or table. 1-2 images. At least 7 sentences of text including a topic sentence identifying and explaining the human rights issue, explanation of the data graph or table, support, and solutions for the problem that the flyer’s readers can enact.
