“The Future of Learning Design.”
The expected deliverable should be printable in a large-format horizontal layout. Format the slide or document to fit a standard 24-inch by 36-inch poster board, and work within that single page. Use Microsoft PowerPoint to create the poster. As you work, keep in mind that a conference poster must be held to the same standards as a scholarly conference paper. As such, be sure to explore resources related to writing scholarly conference papers. Your completed poster should contain at least eight concise, well-researched sections. Be sure to cite your work. Include a visual representation of your new framework. • Create your design framework; identify approaches, ideas, and concepts that will be a part of how you create learning experiences. • Create a visual representation or poster presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint, The title of the poster is “The Future of Learning Design.” • Incorporate at least eight sections or topics into your poster. These can be primarily textual, but they can also contain visuals if they add to the presentation. • Your eight sections may include the following: o research supporting each element of your framework o discourse analysis and predictive models that led you to decisions regarding your framework o adaptive learning techniques and tools that work well with your framework o researched benefits of a personalized learning experience and how this supports your framework o persuasive, researched reasons your framework will transform education o explanations as to how your framework supports the processes of predicting readiness to continue learning, highlighting a need for additional learning, and supporting the achievement of competency or mastery o descriptions of how your framework may be appropriate or inappropriate for different types of learning (i.e., online learning, adult learners, K-12, corporate training, MOOC, or others you have identified) o an example of how your framework differs from another existing learning design or instructional design framework • You may alter these and add other sections you feel are relevant as well. Refer to the competencies below to make sure you’re hitting all of the main points. • Include in your paper, in addition to the eight sections described above, a visual or graphic representation of your new framework. • Cite at least eight sources to support your writing. Also cite all images used on your poster (unless you created them yourself, in which case, cite the data sources, where applicable). Note: Citations on a poster take the form of in-text citations: (Source, year) or (Source, year, p. #). Provide a section at the bottom of the poster for a references list. • Save your completed poster as a PDF.
