Foundations of Sport, Sales and Marketing
Instructions: a) Identify a sport organization you feel could improve in the area of sales and marketing. b) See the attached “Sport Industry Sport Segments.” Focus on Sales and Marketing. c) Write an essay (minimum of two pages, DS) explaining the benefits and value of a good sales and marketing plan for that organization. d) Write this essay as though you are making a recommendation to the organization that you have chosen. e) You should use information from a variety of sources to arrive at your position (and using your sources to defend/justify your decision). f) You should be able to find a lot of resources related to the benefits of sales and the benefits of marketing, even some that discuss the benefits of sport marketing. g) The essay should be typed in Times New Roman, 12-pt font and double-spaced. Incorporate at least five (5) references to support your position. Cite these in the body of your paper and include a reference page in appropriate APA format (6th edition). See the course Resources menu for more information about APA. Use Essay 3 Rubric as a guide during the writing process. h. Research for all essays must utilize journal articles, including those found via the Internet. You may use an article of significant length (covers a full page or more than one page and includes more than just simple opinions by unqualified responders) found in USA Today, New York Times, or another significant newspaper as one of the required sources. Many Internet sites are not acceptable because anyone can build a site and post an opinion. i} You may use Grammarly Check for the self-evaluation of the written essay. k.} Provide me with the name of the sport organization you feel could improve in the area of sales and marketing before you proceed with writing the essay document
