Is exercise an effective treatment for acute lateral ankle sprains?
First off, this is an essay, it is not meant to be a systematic review. You have written the main body of the essay as such. This has meant that you only reviewed the last 10 years of literature (some would agree this is fine anyway), but perhaps you have missed some decent studies because of this. Secondly you have only included RCTs- there may be other study designs which would have helped to support your question about whether or not exercise is effective. You have therefore only critiqued 5 articles, in an area where there is likely to be many more relevant studies that would help to support your discussion. I also just have to add that the writing style changes considerably from the introductory and conclusion sections, to that of the systematic review section. Please can you double check that these sections are indeed your own words, and have not been (accidentally) taken from another source. Remember that our software can pick up any published material (not only from peer reviewed journals, but also submitted work from other academic institutions). I may be completely wrong, and hope that I am, but in cases where students have been found with a very high match on Turnitin, an academic misconduct case has been conducted, and in many cases students are asked to leave the University. Sorry to go on about it especially if this section is in your own words, but I just want to make sure that you are aware of the consequences if this did occur.
