Patient Refusal Policies

You are the Assistant Chief of Operations in your fire department. Your fire chief has asked for you to research EMS patient refusal/no transport policies from other fire departments and provide recommended best practices for a future policy revision. This assignment requires you to research existing SOP/SOGs and fire department policies in the area of EMS patient refusal for treatment and transport. Write a 2-page memo to your fire chief highlighting your findings and providing best practice recommendations for a future patient refusal policy revision. You must use at least two outside sources in addition to your course textbook. Proper citations in APA format are also required.
