Current Events Discussion: FAA/EASA – Responsibilities, Regulations, and Safety

 Aviation is continually evolving; from advances in technology to lessons learned in engineering design, we are constantly striving to improve safety and increase efficiencies in aviation operations. Remaining abreast of industry changes is necessary not only for those in leadership positions but also those who are impacted by the change. To help you better understand aircraft maintenance management, this class will have several discussions related to current events. While the topic will vary, the intent is to provide you an opportunity to research something relevant in the industry as it pertains to the topic. All articles (scholarly or news) should be published within the last five years. For our first current events discussion, research a recent change to a regulation published by the FAA or EASA. Conduct research and to determine why the change occurred.
