Examine a child in relation to their engagement with multimodal media and digital technology in the home and the community. Write a case study based on how often they utilise multimodal media and digital technology and the types of multimodal media and digital technologies being utilised.

o
Compile ten (10) observations of the child engaging with multimodal media and digital technology.

o
Holistically analyse the observations in relation to the developmental milestones, skills and dispositions the child displays whilst engaged with multimodal media and digital technology.

o
Based on part 1 analyse and provide five (5) recommendations/outcomes that could be implemented for this child to enhance their engagement with digital technology and multimodal media tools.

o
Based on your five (5) recommendations/outcomes and using the EYLF planning cycle design, implement and evaluate ten (10) learning experiences for the child (2 learning experiences per recommendation/outcome).  These learning experiences must be guided by the Early Years Learning Framework outcomes and the foundation level of the Australian Curriculum, as well as consider semiotic systems and multimodal texts as a basis for the child’s learning. Your experience plans must also outline the teaching strategies you will utilise during the implementation of the experiences.  You must have documentary evidence of you implementing the experiences.

·
Part 3: Reflection

o
Complete your case study with an evaluation and critical reflection of the child’s overall engagement with multimodal media and digital technology as well as the learning, skills and dispositions acquired over the duration of the case study.

o
Write a concluding personal critical reflection of your pedagogical skills and dispositions in relation to teaching with and through multimodal media and digital technology.
