The goal is identity those 10 species base on morphological traits and DNA to come up a right genetic tree. First you need to create a hypothesis tree base on the morphological traits . after that i will give you 10 data set and each data also the same 10 species in each data then you need to sequence those data see which data and then come up new tree base on the DNA, on the data you must use dn/ds ratio evolution to prove that which one of data set is the best fit of these ten species and the dnds ratio you have to find some article to show that how dn/ds it work in species evolution may be it will said if the data is greater then one then the dnds it mean the species it will be close together(i just make this up but the dnds you have to research it and prove it why dnds can prove those species is closely relate to each other ) and then after you calculate all the dnds of all those 10 data then you can create the a new gentic tree. then you need to recject or accept the hypothesis tree you create, i can tell you that the hypothesis tree must be wrong because teacher told us that and then you have to create a new tree base on the the one dnds is the best fit and also morphological traits. also all the data sequence it have to use MEGA 7 program to do it it can download easy on google. i will provide the morphological traits for you to create a hypothesis tree and on the tree node you need to write the trait on the clay to show which trait they loss or gain to show where it goes.( i will show you on the word file) and then i will give you 10 different sequence genes to calculate the dnds.
