Historical foundations and contemporary issues related to ASD
The learner will address one or two historical foundations and contemporary issues related to ASD, educational definitions and issues related to the identification of ASD, research-based theories related to neurodevelopment, social cognition, and learning, the impact of neurological differences, etiology, early indicators and associated characteristics of ASD, and impact of co-existing conditions. The research paper should contain ten scholarly sources, published with the last eight years with a minimum of twelve to thirteen pages. Formatting and style of the literature review must adhere to APA Sixth edition. Students are encouraged to use resources from the SMUMN Writing Center
