Heart failure – long term conditions and the role of the nurse
Description
The aim of the 3B module is to apply your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to develop an understanding of altered physiology that results from a change in health status due to a long-term condition, Heart Failure. You will also learn about the role of the nurse in supporting people with long-term conditions from assessment and diagnosis, to management, disease progression and co-morbidity through to end of life care. In addition, you will develop compassionate communication skills, allowing you to work co-productively with people and their families living with long-term conditions, in a variety of care settings, utilising the principles of holistic, person-centred care.
