Submit in PDF on Canvas and a printed hardcopy during Final: Write a 1,000-word college-level essay reflec ng on what you have learned from our class. It must answer at least the following ques ons: 1. How has our class changed the way you see yourself? 2. How has our class changed the way you see other people and our society? 3. What other topics/issues/videos that you would like to added to the class so that future students would benefit? Why? In answering these ques ons, your essay must integrate at least 20 concepts learned from our class so far (e.g. sociology, sociological imagina on, theory, etc.). (Do not merely just list the concepts. You need to use them in your entry.) Underline and number these concepts (1, 2, 3, etc.). Technical forma ng guidelines: ● Double spaced ● 1’’ margins ● Font: Times New Roman size 12 ● Le corner of the first page: Your full legal name, Date, Course ● You may include figures, images, tables, and links at the end of your essay in the “Appendix” sec on. They do not count toward the minimum word length requirement of the assignment. ● Do not include cover page and abstract Grading Rubric: ● 5 points for each concept x 20 concepts = 100 points ● 100 points for answering the required ques ons thoroughly ● 50 points for grammar, spelling, structure, organiza on, and clarity The essay must be submi ed in PDF via the submission link on Canvas and a printed hardcopy of the essay must be submi ed in person during Final. Minimum 125 points will be deducted if it were only submitted via Canvas or as a hardcopy (but not both). Whether par ally or fully, you cannot use your MiSacramento essay, essays wri en for other classes, other people’s work, etc.
