The traffic situation in Nazi Germany during world war 2, 1939-1945 for the normal people in the so-called Altreich.
Description
Please write an overview about the traffic situation in Nazi Germany during world war 2, 1939-1945 for the normal people in the so-called Altreich. If you have detailed information about the situation in Saxony (like the cities Löbau, Görlitz Dresden, Leipzig, the countryside, or the part near the Polish border) that would be great, but it is no must as I know that a Saxony focussed overview is tough regarding to the literature. I am thinking about the train (Reichsbahn), busses, cars, and trams. Which impact did the war have on using these transportation methods for normal people? With “normal people” I mean the population who lived their “normal” life in Nazi Germany and who was not actively taking part in the war. If you could provide examples or anecdotes that give an impression about the traffic situation, that would be great. As my university is very strict concerning transparency could you please add the pages in the references (like Blatman, 2010, p. 123 or p. 12-34)? I would really appreciate if you would do this although this is unusual. I would like to use your research as basis for a chapter of my dissertation. I will expand it with my own research concerning the traffic situation in one special region. I would like to compare the situations. If you have any questions, please contact me. And please let me know if you need more time for a high quality content.
