Secondary Connection/Visual Connection
Description
This task requires you to either implement a vocabulary strategy found in chapter 5 (Herrera, Perez, & Escamilla, 2015) with a set of students (e.g., class, small group, individual) or develop an additional vocabulary strategy similar to the strategies in Chapter 5 (see “Strategies in practice 5.2, p. 131” as an example to follow in developing a specific vocabulary strategy). You may consider other strategies from other chapters throughout the text for further examples; however, remember to focus on vocabulary development and enhancement. Please develop a strategy similar to Herrera’s preteaching vocabulary. Further notes on instructions are in the file.
