The course project allows you to select a topic of interest (typically pathologic condition or illness/disease) and conduct research. In this section, you’ll find the assignment directions, project assistance/helpful materials, and VeriCite assignments for you to submit your work. All written submissions will be graded and feedback provided via Canvas. Course objectives being met include: 10. To understand the neural mechanisms associated with certain psychopathological conditions. 11. To critically examine the pro & cons of pharmaceutical treatments vs. behavioral intervention. 12. To research a pathological condition and assimilate information well enough to teach your peers. 13. To enhance critical thinking skills, particularly in regards to reading empirical research articles and applying classroom materials to real world situations. 14. To apply learned concepts in a culminating course project that requires both well-developed oral and written communication skills.
