Community health profiling
Using epidemiological data and speaking to local health care workers, if possible, develop a community health profile of the community in which you are/were working during your community placement.
The profile should:
1. Introduce the geographical locality and provide an overview of the key health and social issues found within the locality; support this with evidence.
2. Briefly discuss the benefits of profiling the health of geographical communities and the difficulties of doing so with accuracy.
3. For one specific key issue you identify, briefly discuss its importance as a public health issue and explore and debate causation and health implications as relevant.
4. For the chosen health issue detail services, policies and initiatives in place to address this issue – nationally and locally.
5. Critically examine and appraise the effectiveness of these interventions, using both evidence and your own reasoned arguments.

Section 4: EREWASH (the community chosen for the research)
This section should discuss

Population, description and geographical location description of the town.

issues like the life expectancy etc

Health issues in Erewash community (Give statistics of physical and mental health).

Compare the percentage of people living with dementia in Erewash community with other parts of England.
Section 5: Policies and initiatives.

Using dementia UK report (or other evidence) to discuss about the national dementia strategies, discuss the Dementia UK’s 3 major themes (increasing awareness, early diagnosis and intervention and ensuring a high quality of care).
