Why America is Self-segregating

Two essays: “Why America is Self-segregating” by Danah Boyd and “The Other Side is not dumb” by Sean Blanda. Thesis: The causes of division in America is that racism persists, people want to only be with those that have the same experiences, and people fear and hold misconceptions about immigrants. What Im looking for: 1. Figure out why America is so divided, and then explain your point of view giving reasons to your thesis. 2. Review what the authors of the articles have to say about the topics that you chose (immigration, racism and different experiences) and summarize their arguments. How do they incluence your point of view about the problems in our country? 3. Consider how the readings are similar and how they are different from each other or from what you think. 4. Give the reader context. Provide a little background. End with your own thesis statment’s solution. 5. The body paragraphs should be devotedto explaining the topics! With support and quotes from the readings. In-text citation. 6. Evidences that support your argument. Third person present tense unless using Personal Experience. Preferred language style US English
