 You are required to introduce and lead a discussion based on the Edgar Allen Poe’s The discussion topic is your choice. However, it must address a specific passage from the poems. You must choose a specific passage (no more than one or two pages maximum) from Edgar Allen Poe’s poems ”Masque of the Red Death”, ”The Cask of Amontillado,” ”A Dream within a Dream,” ”The Sleeper” as the basis for the 500 word essay. Your question should be grounded in a close reading of this passage. You must create your own question based on the passage. Type this question at the beginning of your 500 word essay. We will evaluate both for coherence and thoughtfulness. – Avoid plot summary!!!!! there is no need to summarise what happens. • The paper should be analytical rather than descriptive; the latter simply gives us facts, the former shares the ideas and arguments. • When you present your point of view on a particular issue, do provide supporting evidence in the form of quotations or paraphrases from the poems. However, as you only have 500 words, please limit the amount of direct quotation to a maximum of 75 words.
