Read the following article found in your Objectives, Readings and Resources: The Nonprofit Quarterly, Capital, Equity, and Looking at Nonprofits as Enterprises This article focuses on the social impact from an investor’s perspective Then, review the USAID and Omidyar websites: USAID, USAID PACE Omidyar Network, Investees The assignment is to analyze USAID’s and Omidyar’s models for social investing. You may either compare and contrast these two models or simply address each of the models separately. Write a 2-3- page paper in Word and include responses to the following questions: What is the investor’s mission? (i.e. “why do they invest?”) Does the investor pool its resources with other investors? Which model (USAID or Omidyar) do you think might be more “successful” than the other? What do you understand “success” to mean?
