Op-ed Freedom of Speech 

Write an Op-Ed piece on a problem, challenge, danger, or benefit of democracy that you relate to one of our course readings. You may focus on a current event/issue that raises an interesting question about or perspective on democracy. The essay must be linked to at least one relevant text from our assigned course readings and include at least one relevant piece of textual evidence. I’ve attached the original paper, and copies of feedback from my professor. My paper needs to integrate more of in class text. I chose a reading from Aristotle, but will list other relevant readings if you’d rather go a different direction: Jean-Jacques Rousseau – The Social Contract and The First and Second Discourses (Yale University Press, 2002) Aristotle, The Politics Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels The Communist Manifesto Benjamin Constant.
