The topics can be related to those covered in class, in the text, or a controversial current event. The goal is to choose an issue that you find to be of interest. In addition to the research paper, you will prepare a presentation to your classmates using VoiceThread (instructions can be found in Course Documents). Your paper shall include the following sections (failure to present in this order will result in loss of points): 1. Why the topic was chosen 2. A definition of the issue specific to education 3. A review of the topic’s impact in today’s schools 4. Clear and supported statement of position on the topic 5. Implications for the future 6. Reflection through the lens of the administration 7. References Students will be asked to choose a topic. The paper will consist of an APA formatted document that will address the items listed above and below. The completed project will consist of a document that will address the following categories below. The topic is to be initially reviewed and approved by the instructor prior to proceeding with the project. Each student must choose a different topic for variety during the reflection assignment, so choose your topic early to insure your first choice!
